Why should get a dedicated IP?

Blog monetizing. For those earning money through their blog, it is very important that the site has a dedicated IP. Link builders (aka advertisers) favors site with dedicated IP as link from different IPs appears better in Google. Just imagine if an advertiser contacts you and you have like 20 websites, if you have a shared IP, the chances that the advertiser will buy more links from your site is very little. If you have dedicated IPs for each of your 20 sites that mean 20 paid links from the advertiser.

SEO advantage. A lot of people will say it does not affect SEO but actually it does. If you share IP address with other sites, a link from sites with the same IP as you are, will not be counted as backlinks (most likely) where as if you have 10 sites with each having their own unique IP address, that will be counted as 10 different backlinks (yes, even those sites are yours)

Unfriendly Neighbors. You know how it is to be living in a bad neighborhood? That even if you are not bad yourself, you are stereotyped as such? The same happens with shared IP address. If a website was tagged as a bad site and you share the same IP with it, most likely than not, your website will be tagged as one too.

How much a dedicated IP is? The usual rate for a dedicated IP is around $2.50+ per month.

You have to know though that you cannot have as much dedicated IP as you want since your host can only offer one IP address per account. If you have more blogs, I suggest you get a reseller account with your host and create different Cpanel. Hosting Reseller accounts can have as much dedicated Ip provided it is given one dedicated IP per Cpanel.

Reseller Hosting usually cost $20+ per month. If you have 10 blogs and want to avail 10 dedicated IP, then buy a reseller account. If you will compute it, that will only cost you $5+ (host) per blog per month. It’s actually cheap considering the amount that you will earn (and backlinks.

What should I expect if I change to a dedicated IP?

If you change (buy) a dedicated IP, all your blogs will now share the unique IP address given to you. Although the ultimate goal is to have one IP per blog, sharing it with just your blogs is still better than having the same IP with 100 or more other websites. After your purchase, it will take 1 hour to 6 hour until the changes is finished, and during this time, your blog will be located to a temporary location.

AKISMET. this has to be the first plug in that you need to install, because s soon as your WP blog is up, bots ans spammers are making its way to post unrelated comments on your blog. Akismet does the work. Although not 100% but it really does protect the blog.Sometimes though, even valid comments are treated as spam, so check your spam folder from time to time.

Easy Contact. The most simple plug in for contact, just install it and create a page then insert a code. You will receive any inquiries made using this form and will be delivered to your email.

WordPress Database Backup. Automatically backs up your blog and the file is sent to your email. For bigger blogs though, you have to manually do it.

All in One Adsense and YPN for adsense. I love this plug in because I can control where and when my ads will appear.

Comment Reply Notification. if you love comments, I am sure your commenter would love to know what you think about their comments. Install this plug in and you can choose to notify the commenter when someone responds to his thread.

Simple Likebuttons (Facebook, Google+, Twitter). I use this plug in for my social networking needs.

And of course the options on Blogger is so limited. Remember I accidentally deleted 300 of my posts, just because Blogger does not have prompt message that asks you if you really are sure of what you are doing.

Don’t fret, it’s not as hard as it sounds.. it takes a lot of patience trust me, I have been there and for someone who does not have patience over anything, I aced it (of course not without the help of tutorials and guidelines from WAHMaholic and Sammy). THINGS TO DO FIRST: 

1. Log on to your Blogger dashboard and export your blog so you can have a back up, just in case everything went wrong. Dashboard>> Settings>> Other>> Blog Tools>> Export
2. Convert your Blogger Blog to its blogspot address. Dashboard>> Basic>> Blog Address ( revert back to blogspot domain)
3. Now log on to your domain registrar, to change the nameserver of your domain. Change it to the nameserver of your host.
4. Log on to your host and add domain in your cpanel.
5. Install a new wordpress on your cpanel, install it with a www prefix (since your blogger blog uses a www)
6. After the wordpress is installed, you can now see your blog on WP platform.

1. Log in to your WP blog dashboard then install Blogger Importer plug in. Activate it then go to TOOLS then click IMPORT. Choose blogger from the options and then you will be asked if you will allow your new site to access your blogger account (in which you will need to put your password). Click the IMPORT button and wait. It takes time, specially if you have a lot of posts and comments from you blogger blog.
2. Change the Permalink Structure, since Blogger blogs uses .html on their permalink where as WP does not.. To maintain this permalink all you need to do is change the structure. Go to permalink then go to Custom and put this:   /%year%/%monthnum%/%postname%.html  
3. Also install a PERMALINK PLUG IN for tying loose ends. as pointed out by Sam, WordPress automatically delete short words such as “the” “a” in the title name/ post name)
4. If you are an OC blogger and hates seeing how much categories you got after migrating to WordPress (WP automatically converts tags to categories), install Categories to Tags Converter Importer. You have the option which you can use as categories and which will remain as tags.
5. If you still want to bring your GFC followers with you, here’s what you must do:

• log in to your GFC
• Click on your blog (the one you migrated to WP, which is now on its blogspot address)
• change the url to your own domain url then save
• Generate the code and place it on your newly migrated blog.

Step 4: Filter>> Gaussian Blur by 40 (or depends on how much blur you want)

Almost all smart phones now have the same function but still their performance differs from one another. Survey a type of research where in information is gathered usually through questioning and this information and the result is studied and from there a conclusion is made. There are different types of survey used depending on the data needed and the types of questionnaires given.

Recently, I just concluded a short survey in my blog. The survey is focused on how a user access internet at their homes. The survey has only 4 questions. The respondents reply were either a yes or a no. Based on the survey result, we learned what are the percentage of people using 3g to connect to internet versus people who uses wifi to connect the internet. Even though the survey has only 4 questions, we learned a lot so much on how people access the internet from their home. And that’s is how important and helpful survey is.

In terms of companies specially those on the consumer products, they use Survey Software to conduct their surveys. From these surveys, they will learn what are the needs of their costumer and they can easily address it. In some cases, like some of the local companies here in the country they ask people who can survey an area. But more companies now are gearing towards the use of Online Survey Software. This can be very helpful specially if they want results fast.

Speaking as a respondent, if I am asked to answer a survey, i would prefer an online survey where in all I need to is check a box or answer yes or no. And I’m sure most online survey offers this kind of survey. The good thing about online surveys, a lot of companies now value the time their costumer put to answer the survey and with that they are now giving incentives to their respondents.

Survey nowadays is a win win situation, the company gets the data they need and with that the costumers are satisfied and by answering the survey they also get some incentives.
