If you are using WordPress as your blogging platform, creating a page is easy. There’s a menu for that and all you have to do is to add a new page.
It’s a good news that you can also create Pages in Blogger (although you are limited to 10 pages only). All you need to do is to click CREATE NEW> EDIT PAGES>NEW PAGE
When you are done creating the page, you will be given 3 options:
- BLOG SIDEBAR: When you choose this option, your pages will appear on one of your sidebar.
- BLOG TABS, this is not a good option if your blog template has a navigation bar (the part after the header that has the Home, Advertise, Contact links). When you choose this option, it will create another navigation bar and I tell you, it’s not good to look at.
- NO GADGET (link pages manually) is the best option if your template already has a navigation bar. This can be a bit tricky and requires some tweaking on your blog, but it’s not difficult to do so.
Here is a step by step guide on how you can put your Pages link to your existing Navigation Bar:
- Create your page and publish it. Choose the No Gadget option then copy the link location of your Page. You can do it by right clicking on the VIEW PAGE and copy the link location.
- Go to your template html. Dashboard>Design>Edit HTML.
- Look for the codes
As you can see (in your html), it contains the codes for you navigation bar menu. Place it where you want it to be, if you want your new page to be located beside the Home tab then, put it after the home tab. Just copy and paste the code from your Home code tab (the one with the li tag and with the anchor text Home). Change the url to the link location/url of your new page and then change the anchor text to your desired anchor text.
